KOOL Coat Ceramic Coating in Langley, BC

Theres a local shop here that facilitates getting it done (they ship it off for you, etc) which makes it super easy

Cost $160 CAD for all three pieces, inside and out, with their highest-temp coating (the high temp stuff is only availible in black and chrome)

Threadjack...

It's not just sitting. It's waiting in line for it's turn. I actually put the Ej25 up on the stand yesterday that is going to be built for the SC. It's going to happen sometime in the coming future. If you have further questions, pm me /threadjack

Did you have to clean up those headers first or did they do that, too?

Steve,
I can help you with that. I've got a new age WRX coolant crossover pipe that is for the under manifold inlet pipes. I will ship it to you as partial payment on the wiring...

I will ship it on Monday. Try to let me know today if there are any other niggling little parts you are looking for and I can send them as well. I forgot to look into that IAC thing for you. If I can find that pipe, I will include it as well...

any spare hardware you have at all would be useful (nuts, bolts, studs, etc)

I dont really get it, Ive taken apart 4 subaru engines, but I always seem to be missing hardware!

Crunch time!!
Heres my schedual from now til the subaru show, we'll see how close I stick to it... I think ive given myself enough time

May 28: Strip out old driveline - Nearly complete, one axle is stuck
May 29: Paint engine bay, install rear diff
May 30: Finish fuel lines, bolt heads onto the engine
May 31: Finish upper engine component fabbing (PCV piping, intake piping, modified wiring for COP, etc)
June 1: New brake lines (no more ABS), prep engine bay
June 2: Rent engine hoist, bolt together tranny + engine and drop into the car
June 3: reassemble driveline
June 4-6: Chassis wiring, install meth injection, AWIC
June 7-9: Time for delays, double checking everything, bleeding brakes & clutch, power up ECU, check for communication, etc
June 10: Initial startup

June 11-24: Engine/Turbo/Tranny break-in period, learning to drive dogbox, driving 60-80 miles a day
June 24: Rocket Rally for tuning (if they'll come in on a sunday for me)
June 29: Leave for West Coast Subaru Show 9 :D

Im in need of major spiritual guidance guys

Im not sure if I can get the shortblock finished off in the time alloted, however I have a fully built EJ22T shortblock with Wiseco pistons in it.

Should I use the EJ22T shortblock with the RS-RA heads, or keep building the EJ20G?

The major problems Im having with the 20G are the piston rings, they're all out of spec...

I agree. Besides, an extra 10% displacement isnt going to make up for the 1.4 point drop in compression

Piston #1 is done... this isnt SO bad, I suppose.

Plus I love the idea of having a 20G engine with a 20G turbo ;)

I vote RS-RA. IF you don't use it, I am driving up there and taking it all back from you. :-D

One note on the crossover pipe. It's a USDM WRX pipe. You will need to drill and tap a second hole in it for the second coolant sensor. They changed from 2 sensors down to 1 for the modern cars...

I was wondering about that.

Cant adapt the 3-wire sensor to give one signal to each?
