Testing an EJ20 twin turbo 1/2 cut....???

Hey ya lads,
I have a 1/2 cut of a 96(ish) twin turbo sitting in my garage which
with time, (a lot of time mind you) will find its way into my 78
Kombi panel van. VARRRROOOOM!!!! "No officer it was THAT WRX"
I've run a Bosch fuel pump to the beast, completed the
oil/filter/coolant change etc.
The beast started up instantly and gave me a fault code of 24, being
the ISC valve.
So I have to check it and probably replace the unit.. OK but I don't
have a service manual.. mmm.. lets buy one.. Nope I cant get one
here as Subaru wont touch an import customer. Also what I have seen
on the net, Hanes etc are not offering a manual on the twin turbo
models. I may be wrong...
Also when the unit is warm/ish (5 mins of idle) I give it a little
rev up and then release the gas pedle. A small puff of white smoke
puffs out of the exhaust.. AHH something is on its way out...please
not a turbo!! --ANY IDEAS??
I have a shit load to learn and are keen for it, a damb good shop
manual will get me off the ground.
Any tips on manuals or service data?? please!! I really need to pull
this baby to a 1000 pieces and redesign some of it to complete my
mission....
