Hi. I have a 90 Legacy LS and I’m having problems with the blower blowing out of the correct vents. About half the time when I turn on the A/C or vents the mechanism under the dash does not switch the air to come out of the vents – the air comes out by my feet. If I push up on the plastic arm I can get it to move and send the air to the vents. When I turn it if it typically closes up. I greased the plastic slider parts, but that didn’t help.

I was wondering if there was a simple way to fix this problem, or do I have to pull the dash?
