This latest from John Craig of Limit Engineering, one of less than a handfull of individuals anywhere, to my knowledge, with the contacts, experience and willingness, to accomplish some of the specialized turbo acquisitions and modifications I had been seeking.

Larry,

I am of the opinion that exhaust systems, after
the turbo, should be as non-restrictive as possible.
I feel that it is even more important to have a low
back pressure system when an internal wastegate
is in use. I see marked improvement in turbo response
when open exhaust systems are used versus closed
systems. Turbos and wastegates seem to thrive on
low back pressure. When the differential pressure
across a turbo or a wastegate increases the velocity
of the gases increases.
