Well, my Legover is gonna get new pearl white paint soon. And I'm wondering whether to paint my black door/bumper trims. I can't decide, either way I like it. What do you guys think??

I say no. i think it looks fine. it would only look better if you could remove it entirely, but then you would need new front and rear bumpers. I just want to remove the chrome stripes, but leave the black trim. my 2 cents. :D

I too would get rid of the chrome and keep it all black. The only problem is that it might look funny without the chrome strip in place.

after my motor is done and installed I plan on making some new body pieces. should have a finished product this summer.

not only can you see the lines, but you can see the air intake that is centered in the front bumper and it looks ridiculous.

so... in short dont do it

i have seen a number of legs without the chrome strip, and it looks pretty good, the only thing is there are a number of holes, but they arent so visible. Painting them is a bada idea for they will quickly change color and wont match the rest of the paint. my 2 cents.

Dude I tried forever trying to find out who made that bumper spoiler ( especially the one in the first pic, White Legacy). Couldn't find anything, even you did find out, its most likely been discontinued for many years.
theres a guy in australia moulding up STi front lips for the Legacy turbo (Liberty RS over there). You could get one from him, they are about $200 AUS. But shipping it over will be pricey. Go visit http://www.rslibertyclub.org/forums/ for more info. Here's a pic

His name on this forum is rs92turbo id you want to pm him.

He stripped the chrome off the front and rear bumpers and painted the chrome on the sides I think.

I did that to my car over a year ago. I though he put on a bumper lip or something :)

Sorry for the confusion. I wasnt referring to removing the chrome (I thought it looked funy), I meant using the vinyl die to darken the trim.

yes, legacyt was the one that clued me in on the removing of the chrome, but plasti-kote vinyl color is awesome for use on plastics. It dyes the plastic instead of just adding a layer on top of the plastic. You can get it at most any auto parts stores.
