After reading all of the posts about crank pulleys I decided to snug up the one on my LSI sedan. Had some trouble with it slipping so I decided to turn the engine backwards (loosen). THE BOLD CAME LOOSE WITH NO EFFORT!!
It was loose the whole time! I couldnt believe it. I found a cheap easy way to tighten it for those of you who dont have alot of tools. Goto Kragen, they have strap wrenches for 9.99. Remove the alternator/PS belt. Wrap the strap wrench around and while keeping it tight rotate the engine until the pipe wrench touches the PS pump Pulley.
The PS pulley will hold and continue to tighten the strap. I was able to get over 150 ft lbs, though I stopped at 150.
