Should I use Synthetic oil at highmileage?

I wouldn't recommend Slick 50 if you ever plan on rebuilding the motor!
I help rebuild a Detroit Diesel that ran Slick 50, it took 4 people 3
days to clean up all the parts that came in contact with that
stuff(nasty). But it works good!
