Starter problems...

Alright, I seem to be having a few problems with my
ride these days. First it was leaking oil and I
was(still am) getting a burning oil smell. Had the
valve cover gaskets replaced. When it was getting
that done, they said the PCV valve needed replacing.
Ok. Now I'm having problems starting the car. I
think it's the solenoid. When I switch the ingnition,
there's no click...click...click. It doesn't make any
sound. According to the Haynes manual either the
starter solenoid circuit is open, or the solenoid
itself is defective. I'm assuming it's the solenoid,
but I'm going to run some tests tomorrow to eliminate
all other possibilities.
>From the reading I've done, I've gathered that the
starter motor and the starter solenoid is a single
unit in our cars (93 AT turbo wagon). If this is
correct and this unit does need replacing, where
should I go for the replacement part?
Thanks again...you guys are great.
-Brian
