Any one have a VF10 for sale ?

Looks like the turbo upgrade might have taken a new sense of urgency
yesteday. I was motoring along and I see a car coming up very fast
behind me and as usual I grabbed a lower gear and nailed it and when I
shifted there was the terrible screech from under ths hood and boost
went south quickly.I nursed it to the shop and the turbo has self
destructed big time probably not even rebuildable. So if I am going to
get involved in any upgrade project now is probably is the time to do
it. But for the time being I would like to find a VF10. The used VF11
I installed is pretty well worn. Anyone have an idea on how many
people would be serious on the upgrade?

What are you asking for it? Also where are you? I might just be
interested because if I do anything on developing a turbo upgrade it
would probably be advisable to do it for the VF10 also. Right now I
have my eye on a TD05 off of a '99 WRX that I have had for some time.
I was told that this turbo had some lag on the bottom end but I
usually keep the revs above 3500 or 4000 anyway and I might try it. I
think the subie engine loves revs just like the Porsche. I got used to
this when I had a Porsche with a roller bearing crankshaft, running it
at less than 3000 rpm would be sure death for the crank.

WRX turbos are TD04's after 96, in Oz they are anyway. Pre 96 are TD05. STI and RA models are an exception but these have IHI turbos. In any case a TD05 would be a big upgrade, they are quite large for a road car and a little laggy. The payoff for this is awesome accelleration post lag.

Cheers. Al.
