Boost Gauge install...(part deux)
Posted: Mon May 20, 2002 1:08 pm
OK, I've got the gauge installed and it's working as
expected. For now I've got a super ghetto setup going
where the gauge is rubberbanded to the steering
column. I'll send a pic of it later, it's pretty
funny. SOOOO, I'm still trying to figure out where to
mount it for good. I've thought about putting it in
the spare DIN spot, but that's just too low. I'm
pretty set on getting the gauge mounted somewhere on
the left side of the dash, or on the A-pillar. So far
I've been unable to locate a dash mount pod that
conceals the entire rear of the gauge. The Autometer
one isn't very attractive, and I'm not sure how I'd
mount it. The other thought I had was to mount it on
the A-pillar with an Impreza gauge pod. My g/f has a
2000 RS and I have been able to compare the two
columns. They look close, but I'm still not too sure.
Has anyone used an A-pillar gauge pod on their car,
if so which one? Or has anyone found a better dash
mount gauge pod than the Autometer one? Any help
would be greatly appreciated, as I want to get this
wrapped up ASAP. Thanks again guys.
