Hello all,
Fist time here on the message board. Lots of good informaiton. I was hoping that someone had some good information for me. My 90' Legacy L FWD Sedan where most if not all of the struts have gone bad. The previous owner was a bit harsh it. I was wondering what kind of replacement strut would have good performance and a manageable price. I have not done any mods to it, but would love to.

Thanks in advance.

The best bang for the buck would probably be KYB GR-2s. You can get them from The Tire Rack, or other online retailers.

It could end up costing less to wait until your local Sears is having a special where they install struts for free if you buy from them. They'll probably put decent Monroes in or something, which will be probably good at first but aren't quite as stiff or long-lasting as GR-2s.

what is the average cost of the KYB BR-2's?

Or does anyone have ones laying around that they are willing to sell me?

Thanks.

Visit Tire Rack. Best prices (when you include shipping). I think I paid 320 with second day shipping for all 4.

Definitely go with the GR2's over the monroes.

I had the monroes for a little while. They're crap compared to the KYB GR2's.

Price is about the same I think.
