acceleration problem

was wondering if anyone could help me out here. My 92 legacy recently
has been having difficulty accelerating. When I give it gas, it will
jerk around. The problem is the worst in the morning, especially if
it rained the night before. Sometimes, I can have the peddle floored
and it can't even get up above 30 mph, even though the rpms are way
up there. It also never starts up right away. I always have to give
it gas, and even then, it takes a few seconds. I think it may be the
fuel filter, pump or maybe even the oxygen sensor. One guy I know
told me to disconnect the overdrive, but I don't think that's it. I
would appreciate input.
Thanks,
Erik
