just to let you know i went through this last year with my 90awd
wagon..i bought a set of agxs from tire rack[best price that i found]
and they were listed as legacy specific which pretty much covers 90-
98 legacys.also ordered subaru strut mounts from them[front only] and
the rear strut mounts from a local dealer..the fun started when i
tried finding springs....just beware that the 90-91awd,na or
turbo, sedan or wagon, all have tapered rear springs..the strut
tower, that is the body of the car is also smaller...which means that
all of those nice h&r springs will not fit. there is not enough space
for the spring hat to seat on the mounting location. i did finaly buy
a set of wagon specific mrt springs that are tapered for the rear,
every thing bolted right up without any problems. in fact i recently
took them off the wagon and put the mrt/agx setup on my 91 turbo
sedan, again they bolted right in..this is just until the new
whiteline springs come in that i ordered for the turbo,to be paired
with gr2's. as i related to someone else in this group the spring
rate is different between sedans and wagons and i can tell beacuse
the ride in the t-sedan is what i would call jouncy..i also tried the
different settings on the agx's and they do work incredibly well ,i
just don't feel i am going to need that many settings. i would rather
do the sti mounts front and rear and go with beefier roll bars in
addition to all of those little whiteline bits that reallllyyyyy make
a big difference in the handling.. oh and if you question the
interchangeability of legacy suspension parts, my 90wagon has a '98
rear end under it....whew! dlm.

struts and springs
You did email me about this earlier correct.
Question then is.....since you have the "correct" tapered springs for
your 90 and soon will be getting some whitelines for your 91 turbo
sedan......you said you are going to be getting sti mounts for it
correct? Are these for the smaller tapered springs? Do you have a part
number?
This would be GREAT if they make some that fit the smaller spring. I'll
email my order for the springs I need tonight if so!!!
Thanks
Josh

strut mounts rear part#20370AA011 L.H. and R.H.part#20370AA001 which
are the same for 90-91 awd turbo or nonturbo sedan or wagon. the
front strut mounts from tire rack are a kyb replacement#sm5108...the
part#for front turbosedan mounts is 20320AA110 genuine subaru 91year
specific.from what i have seen all front mounts are the same the only
difference being in the rubber stiffness for the turbos. i will be
getting sti mounts for replacement on my 91turbo but i don't have a

struts and springs
Adam posted this yesterday on i-club.....same topic, hope he doesn't mind me postin here.
Got an interesting email back from Japan last night. I asked about the STi Group N mounts (front ad rear) for a BC5 - here is what I was told:
ST2031044000 - front
ST2032044000/010 - right and left rear up to production date 5/91
ST2032044000 - rear after production date 6/91
Now to further complicate things, the ones I have en route are (for a GC8, as again, I am told they too fit): ST20370F8200
Not sure what it all means yet - I will know soon though! Keep your fingers crossed these GC8 ones fit.
For springs - they offer KG/MM brand, 30mm drop, no idea on spring rates, priced at $440 per set of 4. Made no mention if these only fit certain years, so I assume they fit all BC5? It gets moe and more confusing!

So......I'm hoping I can get the correct mounts, get the springs....and all will be good
Just one note.....Adam, should the part number for the after 6/91 be different then the before 5/91?
Let us know what you end up doing. Like I said in my other post, I would like to get the sti mounts from ya that will fit my car.

Cool,
Let me know how things go. Once I know everything is good I will put in the order for my springs.
The parts you're referring to are what you're putting on your car correct? Did you end up getting the sti mounts for the GC8, or the ones meant for the 90-91 legacies?

struts and springs
I am getting GC8 front and rear mounts (Sti)...I know the fronts fit, as many BC guys use Leagcy coilovers, so tells me that a GC8 strut top mount fits a BC.
the otehr thing ist hat Sti routinely calls the same parts different numbers when it applies to a different car. So, a front mount for a BC and GC8 maybe the same, but they get different part numbers depending on application...Subaru is a bit backwards that way! Doesn't happen on all parts, but sometimes
