First there was this:

which caused this:

Then this happened:

and now this!:
http://nwr-scca.org/rally/party.html

I LOVE being part of such a dedicated region!! Anyone who hasn't had the chance to see what a rally road is like can now take their daily driver through the stages at a slower pace. Come take place in the First Last Annual Dryad Rallyfest!!!

this isn't a stage rally matt, when you're out on the stages this time, you have to be at a controlled pace, that's what TSD is all about. Any questions you have will be better asked toward the organizers.

update!

Rally Enthusiasts,

Gloria Hale, volunteer coordinator for the Oregon Rally Group
(ORG), extends this invitation on behalf of our fellow rally organizers to
the North, the Northwest Region SCCA (NWR).

Rally fans everwhere need to help support each other to keep the
sport we enjoy active and safe!

As you may be aware, the SCCA national office temporarily
suspended all SCCA stand-alone ClubRallies following the incident
in Pennsylvania. All SCCA ClubRallies paired with SCCA ProRallies
are still running as planned.

The temporary stand-alone ClubRally suspension resulted in the Northwest
Region SCCA (NWR) having to cancel the 2003 Dryad/Shitepoke SCCA
ClubRally planned for June 7th and 8th, but NWR has commitments to the
landowner and the communities originally involved in the cancelled event.
Thus, NWR has decided to "morph" the ClubRally event into a combination
TSD/Gimmick/Poker Rally.

The new event will take place the weekend of June 6th, 7th and 8th in the
Shelton, WA area.

COMPETITORS AND VOLUNTEERS WANTED!!!!

For info contact the Northwest Region SCCA:
John Nispel chiefofcontrols@juno.com (360) 357-3207

Friday night, June 6th, there will be a "welcome" party sponsored by
Jagermeister and offering reduced price refreshments at a no host bar
and an all-you-can eat buffet for $5.95 at the Big E Bar and Grill in
Shelton,
WA.

On Saturday, June 7th, the rally event will consist of seven TSD regularity
sections (predominately gravel) of approximately 88 miles. Poker cards
will be distributed periodically along the route for the poker run portion
of
the event, and the gimmick clues line the transit sections.

On Sunday, June 8th, the rally will be five TSD regularity sections
of approximately 58 miles, again predominately gravel, plus some gimmick
transits and poker cards.

The first car starts at noon both days. Event finish on Saturday will be at
the Shelton Senior Center at 1800 (6:00 pm) with a free beer and pizza feed
for all volunteers and competitors. Sunday's finish is at the Shelton
Elks/Moose
Lodge (741 SE Craig Road) for the awards banquet at about 4:00 pm.
At the awards banquet there will be a nominal charge for the food, but there
will probably be liquid refreshments provided for the volunteers and
competitors.

The NWR needs volunteers for check points and gate monitors. Volunteers
will also be needed, at the request of the landowner, to man stations at
major
intersections on the gravel portions of the rally course to discourage
opposing
traffic on the narrow roads. It's not complicated and gets you out of the
housework
and yardwork and into the fresh air for what amounts to be a fun weekend.

Interested volunteers are encouraged to contact a NWR organizer as listed
above.
If you do forget to contact an NWR organizer or decide at the last minute
that you
would like to give a hand then you can just show up at the Volunteers
Rendezvous
at the Shelton/Matlock Park and Ride at 10:30 am for both days (don't be
late!).
From Olympia, WA, follow Highway 101 north towards Shelton. Take the second
Shelton exit. Turn left, go under the overpass and turn right into the Park
and Ride lot.

Come join in!!!

Gloria
