I just bought a '79 DL 1600 Wagon from the dude down the street. It
comes with a second 1600 engine (which I see as a go kart motor
someday soon!) for a whopping $100.00 US. I want to turn this battle
wagon into a off road terror (my Legacy is FWD and is going to avoid
off road as much as possible), and wonder if anyone out there has
experience wedging a EJ20 or EJ22 into one of these?

If anyone has seen or heard of this swap, let me know. Or if anyone
has sage like knowledge about building up one of these older boxers,
let me know.

The oldest conversion we have done was a EJ22 into a '84 turbo coupe
and we have managed SVX motors into Legacy's, EJ22t motors into
Impreza's and we have a adapter plate that will match the EJ22 to the
Loyale transmission. We can supply modified wiring harnesses for up
to 2002 engines with matching ECU's for aircraft or vehicles. I will
have to check on this but I think we still have two built EA81
engines with Webers.
