Suspension Call to arms

Hey all,

The time has come for me to tackle the suspension on my sport sedan. I
have lots of bounce in the car right now as the dampers are completely
done (probably stockers). Also the car seems to kind of swing around
(roll) if I am not smooth with transitions in it.

I don't want to lose much ride height as I take my car off road
regularly, but I would like a much stiffer setup that is well damped
without body roll. Unfortunately I am on a budget and cannot go with a
full coilover setup.

Heres what I'm thinking
-Struts
KYB AGX if available. (Are they out for our cars???)
(or) KYB GR2
-Springs?? I'd like a higher spring rate but dont want to lose ride
height. Is there anything out there that would serve this purpose.
BTW about .5 to 1 inch height loss may be OK.
-Strut Top mounts
STi Group N top mounts
Possibly the MRT adjustable top mounts in the front (Anyone have
experience with these? I know they will increase NVH, OK with me as
long as its not too bad)
-New Subaru front Swaybar endlinks
-Rear Swaybar I'd like some feedback on this. Is there a adjustable
bar available?
-Urethane bushings where needed. Maybe front antirollbar. Anywhere
else?

I'm really looking for experienced opinions here. Lets get the info
flowing! Also looking for sources for all these parts. Mostly I've
looked at Teauges for these parts

Thanks,
Todd

First of all... What MY do you have? AGX won't fit all model years of the
BC-BF. KYB GR2 fit just dandy on all of them however. I just had them
installed last week and kept the stock springs - very nice. If you are
concerned about ride height - are you also at all concerned about ride
quality? The stiffer you go the more you will feel in the cabin. Same goes
for the top mounts. Anything stiffer than STi tops are going to translate a
lot of road noise into the car.

I'd suggest the AGX's if you can get them.....because they give you more
adjustability, however the GR2's are nice. Springs......There was
someone either on here or in the legacy forum on i-club that got springs
that had higher spring rates but didn't lower the car.......don't
remember the name of them though. The springs are out of Aust though.
The sti top mounts would be a good suggestion......the mrt
ones......don't think they'd be worth the extra money unless you are
really tweakin the alignment specs. I'd also suggest upgraded sway bar.
There really isn't anything for the first gen legacies, to upgrade using
a bar for a late model you can snag some rear lateral links from a 95+
legacy or impreza and then upgrade to either the whiteline or kartboy
rear drop links and sway bar in the rear.
