Power Light flashes

Hi everyone. Can someone answer this please...what does it mean if the power light flashes? I started my car to go home from work and the power light was flashing but I didn't see how many times. I drove home and decided to see if it would happen again. I turned it off then restarted it and the power light did the normal stay on a few seconds routine and then it started flashing...16 times if I counted correctly, real short flashes too. Is this a mega problem?

That code's not on the list I have http://www.surrealmirage.com/subaru/trans.html

However I had thought that was the code you get if you pull the tranny resistor.

Try pulling codes and see if you get the same number.

I've actually got a similar situation. Sometimes it does the flashing and sometimes it just acts normal. I haven't checked the codes yet either but it's next on my list. Let us know what you find.

well after several days of driving my car and getting no more flashing power light, the problem resurfaced tonight when my wife drove it. I finally pulled the codes (I hope I did this right) and I got two faults. One was for vehicle speed sensor 2 and the other was duty solenoid B. Can someone verify these. The first one was long, short, short and the other one was long, long, long, short, short, short. One more thing where do I go from here? I have no knowledge of transmissions whatsoever. :(

First thing I would do is reset the TCU. Then drive the car, see what comes up again.

Pull fuse 16 for 10 min....think that's right. It's the one marked EGI/TCU
