Ok.....got a question for you guys. I know you are upgrading to RS bumpers and such. What I'm looking for is a 91 turbo legacy bumper. I've looked around....and from what I've heard it's pretty rare to find one. Are any of you that are doing the upgrade have a 91 turbo legacy.....and would be willing to sell me your old bumper.
Or....if anyone has any leads on where I could find a bumper, that would also be appreciated.
I'm not sure when the fiberglass parts will actually take place.......I probably won't have time to work on my car till end of oct....due to being out of town for work. But I'd like have parts before then.....so i can look into getting them painted.
If anyone can help...or have suggestions, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks
Josh

Josh, you're on a bit of a mission impossible there! 91RS front bumpers are like golddust! Your best bet is to reverse engineer a later turbo bumper. I tried this on my old NA which is actually doable but requires someone with more bodywork expertise than my limited bodging!

Yeah.....that's sorta what the guy at the wrecker said. We shall see.
If time is running out, and I haven't found anything, I'll settle for a N/A bumper and just paint the lower portion.....the part that is black.....I think it wouldn't look too bad with the horzontal slats being painted.

N'ah - trust me the 92+ bumpers do fit with some mucking around. I had one on my car but it was a bit of a crap job by myself. If you know anyone in the bodywork biz then I'm sure they can sort you out. The main prob is tha the 92+ bumpers are longer front to back and the mountings just under the blinkers is too far back because the later facelifted cars had longer blinkers.

Is the bumper itself longer.....or just where the brackets mount on?
I probably could tackle this and fab something up.....but I have no shop or garage to work on it.....I've been bumming places to wash/work on my car since I moved......probably won't be till next year some time before I'll start looking for another place to live that has a garage.

From memory - which isn't quite as good as it once was - the bumper is slightly longer as well as the mounting point under the blinkers being slightly offset (front/rear rather than side to side). The brackets under the wing will match up and are a bit bendy/flexible anyway. I onbly just remembered that the panel around the spotlight mounts interferes with the turbo bumper so need to chop those bits off (they're not structural down there). You would then need to bodge some new spotlight mounts for those newer funny shaped jobs (which cost an absolute bomb!).... errr so not really that great an option..... but the bumper will fit tho..... he he he... oops!
