Wasnt sure if this belong in Body or Wheels!

Anyways, Ive heard many people say that the stearing bushings are the best bang for the buck they have had so far (random assortment of subaru models).

I wanted to see if anyone on this list has them and if so what your feelings are.

You mean the poly rack bushes?? yeah I fitted some a few months ago, made a definite difference but fairly subtle....best described as "crisped" up the steering wheel response....

i did these on my old bmw- WOW. Im not sure if they are that much better than plain old NEW bushings, but they transformed the steering feel on that car. much more road feel, and crisper turning.

Where are these bushings located, and how hard was it to change?

The bushings are between the stearing rack and the mounts to the cross member. Did you think the rack was rigidly bolted to the frame? The amount of vibration transfered would be really high. The problem is the stock bushings are supposedly too soft, resulting in vague stearing response.
