Ok...I finally got my stereo installed for my graduation present. It sounds great, except there is one problem, when I roll the front windows up and down, I can hear them rubbing on the speakers. Best Buy did all the install work, I plan on taking my car back to get them to look at the problem. Is there a way to fix this problem? The speakers are 6.5" Kenwoods and they aren't all that deep. Any tips and help will be appeciated!

You just need a spacer. They should have them at Best Buy.
thanks

Yup, spacer. Make sure the speakers are sealed well against the door or the sound will suck.
Your lucky the window is only scraping, most speakers would be right in the way of the window and cause problems.

It sounds great right now, its just that scraping noise can be unnerving.

yup......spacers as everyone has mentioned. I'd probably go for a 1/2 spacer.

After two trips and about an hour, my Legacy is all taken care of. She sounds awesome now and the windows don't rub the speakers now! The stereo isn't all that elaborate, but it'll serve its purpose.
The stats:
Sony CDX-MP40 CD/MP3 player
4 6.5" Kenwood 2-way speakers
All in all the total cost including instalation is just a little over $400.
Thanks for the advice guys!

Yes, that should sound pretty nice for a good price. I have that Panasonic "Ghost Face" deal, pretty cool and Panasonic is the bomb - I got hooked on them after putting one in my Brat (Wouldn't skip when jumping nearly 80 ft length wise). My Legacy sounds decent but not very beefy sounding with the 4 6.5's (all aftermarket but relatively inexpensive 2-ways). I long for 6x9's in the rear deck. My car came already wired for a system in the trunk, I might go with a 10" kicker or so for weight reasons

. Even though I like bass, the Legacy is for acceleration and power/weight ratio is important. I have enough boom with the 15" sub I have in the Brat (do NOT turn up too loud with all windows closed... unless you wanna buy some new glass!)
