Hey, Im a newbie here, I have a 1991 awd na/at wagon. I would like to get new springs, lower and stiffer. I have a few questions partaining to this that I could not answer by searching.
1. What all is required to swap 1991 rear spring buckets for later ones so as to run the later style spring?
2. once this is done, what springs are preferred for ~1" lowering?
3. Are WRX stock springs or late model legacy springs stiffer tahn the stockers? (cheap is good here)
4. Does anyone know the spring rates of stock 1991 legacy, stock WRX, stock later legacy, and lowering spring applications for all of these? I have not been able to find spring rates of these anywhere.
5. has anyone conferted their struts to coilovers with ground control or similar, and if so how are they setup.
Thanks,
Jeremy

It's been covered a bunch before, so you should probably do a search for more in depth info. That being said, you'll need the later tophats/spring perches that are used with the later, non-tapered springs IIRC. Apparently the 90 - 91's used a spring in the rear that tapered towards the top of the spring. You'll find a bunch of info if you search, but this should be enough to get you thinking.
