Not bad for $700.00 its still got the check engine light going, and some very minor cosmetic flaws. 171,000 on the odo but it runs strong and now I have an extra turbo just in case (since I installed a used turbo only to find out it was the power steering pump leaking oil and burning on the down pipe!?). What do you guys think?

Sorry guys, this is the family mobile. I've got two kids now and I needed something reliable and bigger than the Talon, I also wanted a turbo and AWD since that is the only drivetrain to be driving. My wife loves it. The guy that sold me the car is a close freind, he actually offered to give it to me! But I couldn't do that so he sold it to me for real cheap. He was tired of working on it and knew I liked it a lot. I'm already getting ready to modify it. I just picked up a wrx BOV and I might sell my extra turbo and pick up a wrx turbo and maybe a t bird intercooler if I decide not to use the Talon side mount when I put the front mount on the Talon. What I really need now is a house with a garage.

Turbo legacys are awesome! I want one bad! Of course it has to be a wagon, and then i would swap trannies. Whats up with them never putting a stick in a wagon that has a turbo? do WRX wagons come with sticks? My EA81T wagon was only available with an Auto slushbox. But I am swappin in a 5sp d/r this sunday hopefully. :? Oh and ur car is awesome... I just saw one just like it but lowered drivin around. My friend Austin has a blue legacy that is slammed to the ground cause the air shocks have no air! :lol:

I should have a house sometime this summer too, how nice of a house has yet to be determined.

I'd be interested in meeting up. We might want to find a wrx meet so that we could just piggy back on their meet (the more cars the better) I'm also thinking of checking out a few DSM meets here in Sac this summer. Let me know what you guys think.

The only trouble with a house with a garage is if you have a live with girlfriend or wife. They don't see the beauty of a garage like we do. I have a two car garage that I don't even get to park in. Just the occasional cleaning, stripping, oil changes, etc. Plus with two other cars, all my junk (read 12-16 tires, cat litter boxes filled with oil, etc.) and the lawnmower, etc. there isn't much room to do anything. A friend of mine bought a house with a two car garage and after his wife wasn't receptive to all the car stuff going on, he decided to build a FIVE CAR GARAGE out back. Now that is heaven.

Do a search on ebay, you may be able to find the actual factory bike mount for the roof rack. Subuaru offered one.

That's why I live by myself ;)

I just can't stand the fact that people have tons and tons of shit stacked up in their garages.

Actually, what you need is a garage to park car in, and then a shop where you can work on the car and do whatever, and not worry about it.

Here is a picture of my newest mod! A much needed stereo. It sounds like crap through the decade old legacy speakers but those will be next. Anyone who's done the stereo in a legacy knows what a PITA they are. I finally got the power antenae working after a few fuses got blown. The stereo was free except for the $20.00 dollar amp I had to solder in. Total cost of the legacy so far.

Legacy=$700.00
Turbo it didn't need=$150.00
Stereo amp=$20.00
Subtotal=$870.00

It still needs a power steering pump and the check engine light is still coming on once its warmed up and running but those will be solved shortly.

stereo really wasn't that hard to do. Speakers aren't real hard. May not be the easiest compared to some cars, but they certainly aren't too hard.

I think I'm just used to factory stereos that have a label on them with a wiring diagram, wiring up the speakers was a sinch. I think the biggest thing was getting it in there with the pocket and spacer I picked up so that there were no gaps, the stock stereo must be 1.5 din? not quite a double din. And because of the power antenae there were a lot of extra wires, I have it wired up to just come on when the car starts, is that how it is on stock or is it wired to come on only when you use the tuner? Plus I had to take out the FM modulated disc changer that broke, that was part of the reason it seemed hard.

The ability to kick the sh*t out of cars that cost 20-40 times as much:
PRICELESS

haha yeah, its pretty quick. I'd love to own one with a manual. I've been looking at these cars for some time. A year ago I drove a turbo sedan with a five speed and I liked it but couldn't come up with the 3k the guy wanted. I missed out on a sweet 92 SE-R that same month because the tax check hadn't arrived.

yeah stock stereo is 1.5 DIN.

I believe the power antenna comes up when the tuner is on, not necessarily the stereo.

In my car, if I had a power atenna, it would never be up. radio stations suck, so I just listen to cds.

um.....what are you talking about? :wink: There is only one wire that makes the power antenna go up. If you have it going up now you have found the right wire. Just connect this wire to the blue one off your kenwood and your done.
