Hi im just curios (or hopeful)
Is there any way to lock AWD AT into 4WD.
well the reason i ask is that when im going up slippery hills its all the time working on the centerdiff so im losing traction and getting traction all the time..

Sure. Weld all your differentials shut. You didn't ask whether you could get back to AWD.
Alternatively, instead of full 4wd you can install Limited Slip differentials front and back.

I think you can temporarily "lock" the "center differential" by disconnecting Duty Solenoid C. That would leave the multiplate transfer clutch fully engaged. It's been discussed before on this board so you can try searching for it. I don't think anybody has tried it yet though.
lol

Well Brat i used to have KEMPI NOSPIN or in my case EINHELL NOSPIN in my Surburban but i dont think a Subaru could take that kind of abuse
Thx Vrg3 ill try it and if it works i can connect a switch to it so i can lock while in icy hills..
thx

can the 5mt's be put into fwd too with the fuse in the engine bay?

5MTs do not have that fuse in the engine bay. The center differential is completely mechanical on 5MTs and cannot be bypassed or otherwise controlled.
