...when I realized I have never seen a 90-91 Turbo wagon stock before...
It's pretty

Except for the fact that that one has the raised roof that we only saw on the '94 GTs in the U.S. It looks like it's probably a JDM model.
What's wierd is that the mirrors are painted body color, but the door handles aren't. My '93 has painted door handles, but black plastic mirrors.

The only differences I can see between that and my '92 UK model is the non-body-coloured door handles and the absence of headlight washers.

It's definitely a model from an RHD country, since the steering wheel is on the right. Also, the 1991 USDM turbo was only available as a sedan.
Today when I went with a friend to drop his car off at the local Subaru mechanic, I saw two 92-94 Legacies on his lot that were a little weird. One had the turbo-style grill on the front (with body-colored side pieces and only one horizontal slat). The other had the turbo-style bumper cover (with the holes for fog lights). But neither car was a turbo... Maybe they were other special editions. I know the Alpine Sport wagon had the same grill as turbo models. But I didn't know any non-turbo models got the turbo bumper. I didn't have time to ask him about it... maybe I will when we go to pick up the car.

It looks to me as though the door handles are colour coded. Looking closely shows that the handles seem to be body coloured and the recesses in shadow.

Rob - But your 92 model has a different-looking front end, no?

the ls lsi got the color keyed mirrors. i seen some weird models with turbo parts but the were always a l ls or lsi. i think the body shop either got the wrong bumper or got parts from a junkyard. i have seen a ts alpine sport and one called a sundancer or sumtin like that.

Those doorhandles seem much too dark compared to the rest of the car to be body colored. I think they're chrome like most of the early Legacy's.

It looks to be touched up digitally....
Personally I like my black mirrors. They will match my black door handles when I swap out the chromies.

I like the black mirrors as well. I like the color matched door handles myself.

That's my point. 1990 didn't have turbo Legacies at all, and the 1991 was sedan only. That front end on a Turbo wagon never came to this country... Kinda cool to finally find a pic of it

wouldn't be 89-90 since its non-usdm. I don't know if I speak for the rest of the 90 LS owners but I have mirrors and door handles that match the car.

Look closely and you'll notice that the bumper is like the jdm RS ones...
Big fog lights!
This is not a N-A Legacy Turbo but a JDM RS or GT (don't know for sure if there was RS wagons).

Yup, and the roof rails are different than our wagon rails. They might be the same rails as we had on the '94 GTs, but I'm not sure. Anyone here have a GT?
