Cheap replacement muffler

Well, the side that split on my original oem muffler was un-patchable, The pressure kept popping the patch no matter how long I let it sit.....

Anyway, how much should I expect to pay for a simple replacement muffler? Or should I just go ahead and dump the mid pipe out and replace the entire cat back with a 2.5" custom job?

Does anyone have pics of different mufflers on these cars? I like the twin tip but does anyone have giant gaping 3" pipes?

thx

I got a nice mandrel bent custom sytem on my N/A. 2.5" Going to a Flomaster Flo Pro for a Vette. The whole shebang cost only $190 installed with a 2.5 chrome tip. Sounds great.

I used a cherry bomb (glasspack), in combination with some cheapo muffler i got off eBay. It sounded great. This was on my EJ22, still retaining the first cat.

Once i got rid of both cats I use dthe same muffler, and a 2.5" resonator (which was still pretty much a glasspack) it also sounded superb.
