MY 97-99 Impreza bumper on 91 Legacy?

Does anyone else think this might work? They look similar and both are flat under the headlights. If they are the same width, it would only take some cutting to fit into the fenders on the Legacy. Is anyone able to take some measurements to find out how close or unclose they are? I don't know anybody with an impreza of the type I'm looking for.
