Lug Torque specs....

Post by LaureltheQueen »

In the garage this evening, rotating my tires, changing oil, and cleaning out the partywagon... But I seem to have forgotten torque specifications of the lug nuts... I believe it was 67 or 75...

Please dont delete this thread til I get an awnser, thought it'd get seen here quicker than in tires/wheels/etc

Also... Do you rotate your tires in the modified x pattern, or just front to back? I usually do modified x just because I'm primarily fwd. :)

I torque mine to 65. As for rotations-if their directional tyres, then yes simply put front on rear and rear on front. If their not directional then front left to rear right etc.

I usually do 75 with a torque wrench and rotate rear right to front left.

I torque mine to 72 ft. lbs. with a torque wrench and the proper way to rotate non-directional tires on an awd is the rears go straight forward and the fronts go diagonally to the back.

Thats how I do it. It's called the modified X pattern. Torqued mine down to 74.5 ft lbs.

I really wish I could find that "My lug nuts require more torque than your Honda makes" pic. It's so fitting here :D

I just tighten them until I can't do it without extreme effort...

I just crank 'em on hard. I've had them loosen when cranked to spec, but it could have been rust on the bolts.
