I think you could get a STI RA AND the 6 speed for your 1000$ You'd probably get some $ left to buy 4 pot front brakes as well...

If $1000 is your budget, it ain't going to happen. You'd be lucky to get the tranny itself for 1000-2000.

I've been unable to find them for under $4K. If there are any out there for a grand, I'll take 3 and finance the rest of my car from selling the other two on ebay.
