Enriching the air/fuel ratio with aftermarket do-hicky help

So I bought one of those things on Ebay that you hook up to your Air Intake Temperature sensor and by turning the knob up or down you can either go rich or lean.

Only problem was that we do not have an Air Intake Temperature sensor on our Subes. Can I still use this thing somehow on the MAF? It has just two wires that go to a knob. Brand name is Power King.

Thanks for any help.

No, I'm pretty sure you can't use it on the MAF sensor. If the description said you could, get the seller to give you your money back.

If you really want to try it you could probably use it to modify or replace the coolant temperature sensor, which would similarly affect your air/fuel ratio.

My suggestion though is not to use it at all. It's going to trick your ECU a little but not enough to make it work well.

your ecu will sniff out the unwanted intruder, learn around it and DESTROY! Well it would do the destroy part if it had some sort of army... :D

If it's one of those smart ecu's it may just make it's own army, train, and then go to all out war! You may want to return it soon before the ecu turns against the rest of the car.
