Roller rockers. Different units for Solid or Hydrolic lash

I want to convert turbo heads to roller rockers. I received a private message that said "Make sure you get the ones for HYD lifters and not the solids as it`ll change the valve lift"
Now I had no plan to keep hyrdolic lash. I wanted to take my turbo heads and install the roller rockers and screw type lash adjustment. Couldnt I take a head and swap all the parts (minus cam) and keep the same lift?
It seems the lift problem would come with using rollers meant for solid adjustment and sticking them on hydrolic units.
Or is it that the Cam is specifically ground to match the "height" of the adjusters?
Does anyone have suggestions on which years to look for? So far the only ones I know of that have screw adjust and rollers are 95-96 EJ22 legacy?
Would the EJ25 SOHC parts fit the EJ22 heads?
