Can anybody tell me where to start on alleviating this problem? I think the IACV is the problem. I got the top solenoid piece that goes on the IACV at a junkyard. I didn't mess with it yet. Also is this part adjustable? It looks like it is with the long screw slots. What does this adjustment do if it is?

do a search, there's a few threads about cleaning the iac valve. That may help your problem.
