I went to every part store around and two of the wires bend at a 90 degree angle. My originals are all four strait off the coil. I dont think bending them to make em fit is a good idea. I guess im gonna have to get robbed by the dealer.
Thanks,
Joe

Order some online.....there's quite a few places.

What plugs are you getting from the local stores?

Some of the cheap aftermarket sets do have two wires with 90-degree ends on the coil pack side... You can actually still use them if you so desire, although getting proper wires is better.

http://www.autopartsgiant.com/ has the NGK set for like $33... But http://www.cyberauto.com/ has the Magnecor set for only double that, and those ones never need replacement.

I am actually using the wires in my car. two of them have a 90-degree bend in the connector.

I read in the FSM that two wires should be the same length and of the remaining two, one should be longer and one shorter. All 4 of my "autozone" ones are different lengths. (meant to fit many inline 4 cylinders, each wire getting longer as the cylinders move farther away)

The car runs good, but im sure it would improve if i went with the NGKs.

I would probably go with the NGKs since they are only $10 more than the "autozone" ones and will fit right.

I agree to go with the NGKs. I have the AutoZones and they only last about 50k before they start causing misfires.

I got the subaru ones

I went to the dealer and got wires for my legacy for 32 dollars and change out the door. They fit perfect and they are all straight coming of the coils.

I have dealer wires too. I got these after I ruined my Magnecors and my coilpack by not installing the wire properly.

Three are the same length, but the #4 wire is a bit longer, not sure why...

the FSM says:

Wire 1) 540 mm
Wire 2) 550 mm
Wire 3) 540 mm
Wire 4) 600 mm

So there should be two that are the same length and two that are different.

Magnecor

They are available in different diameters, check the price of the smaller ones and you will be surprised.

Remember that standard wires (NGK) slowly loose performance with age.

I just ordered some Magnecors as the 'lifetime warranty' generics just started misfiring after 35k.

about the only thing keeping me with my "autozone" wires is the lifetime warranty. Whenever i feel like it i can take them back and get new ones (or my money back to put towards magnecore  )

I just picked up some genuine Subaru wires at my dealer, they were less than $25 for the set. 7MM black wires with bright red silicone ends, exact fit.
