what is the difference between the 89 legacy wagon and the 90 legacy wagon. i know that the 89 didnt come out with the manual trans, but other than that i sometimes think that the reg card is wrong and that it should be a 90. i have tried to look for a manual on the 89 legacy gt 2.0 turbo s/w, but can seem to find one so i went to the library to have a look and they also didnt have a book, so i had a look at the 90-94 (i think it was up to 94) and it seems that everything is the same in there to my 89 legacy. it is no biggie to me but was more a curiosity thing to me.

Thank You

The thing you need to remember is that overseas get the production cars one year earlier then the US. So a first gen legacy in the US had its lifespan of 1990-1994 Model Years. Over seas, the first gen legacy had a lifespan of 1989-1993 MY.

So for an overseas 89, there shouldn't be much of anything that is significantly different to the 90 MY.
