Hi, read about fuel cut and may knock one up depending on your advise.i have a uk legacy turbo 2lt with the following mods:-

boost gauge
twin dump turbo back stainless pipe
dump valve
modded snork and itg panel filter
wrx heads
high pressure oil pump
mbc running 13 psi
uprated clutch and wrx flywheel
(other mods but not engine related)

uk car has 200 bhp as stock and is fitted with a water-air intercooler

now the questions, what boost do u think i can run safely if i fit a fcd, without modding fuel pump/injectors with a stock turbo without getting to the point when air temp increase counter acts gain from higher boost.
i always run on optimax unleaded (98 ron) if this makes any difference.
thanks in advance, look forward to your own stories and replies.

Well, the US got a slightly smaller turbo I believe and we are at our limit at near 15 psi. (depending on elevation of course it can change.)

I don't know how things go for your turbo. Do a serch for turbo cfm maps, someone had some maps that were very helpful. I don't know if your turbo was in there or not. Also, maybe one of the UKers or overseas people know and can help you further. I would assume though that your turbo could probably do 15psi like ours, but that is an assumption.

my car has a IHI TD05 turbo fitted, not sure if this helps anyone with the flow/max boost question.

I would run 16psi as a MAXIMUM without upgrading your fuel system, you will find you will hit boost cut at 14.7psi anyways. the TD05 best efficiency is at 19psi, which is what I'll be running shortly. for more info on your car visit www.rslibertyclub.org those guys will be able to help with all of your 2ltr / TD05 questions, it will be a mitsubishi TD05 not a IHI turbo.

At 20psi, I was reading .83V off the O2 sensor. Didn't have the EGT hooked up though, so I change it back to 15 as a safety precaution. This is with the TD05.
