Question on '91 BC rear endlinks.....

I replaced the metal "football goal" looking end-link peice on mine the other day. I found that each side takes 2 standard "end-link" bushings where it attaches to the lateral link which I found readily availible at AutoZone (nice Energy Suspension red poly ones!

). My question is, what is the bushing at the top supposed to look like? Mine has a small, thin black rubber bushing in the hole on the sway bar and then a metal sleeve that goes through the middle...is this all there is? Should the bushing be thicker? You can see in the pic it doesn't even touch either side of the "football goal" bracket....is this normal?

I suggest just converting the upper bushing to a solid unit. The lower and bar to body mounts will take care of whats left. I used a variety of different washers and made my own metal bushing.
Some of the smaller washers fit in the middle of the sway bar hole, slightly larger rested on either side of that. Again larger where on the just under the outside edge and super large hugged either side. Worked great

From what you described that sounds normal. It's just a rubber bushing with a metal sleeve through it. Yours may be worn a little, from what you described.
When I put on the turbo legacy rear bar on my car I replaced the bushings, that was one of them....it wasn't the funnest to replace.
