you just push the button all the way in one way or the other if you have a pre-94 i think it is that only has auto down. Unless of course your button is broke/burnt. Inwhich case you can replace it with one that works and have that feature.

Think I could replace all switches on the drivers door with the auto-down?
I wish I had auto-up, and auto-down, on all windows.

Yeah, until you accidentally cut off someone's hand using the auto-up feature...

they deserve to have their hand cut off if they can't remove it before the ten seconds it takes to get our windows up.

Seriously, though. . . . I've heard that you can take stock Nissan window switches (that can at least give you auto-down for both front windows, I think) and install them in place of your existing switches. They all come from the same supplier.

The auto feature is not in the actual switch itself. its in the board that all the switches are mounted to. Repacing one switch wont do anything.

You sure mike? That may be true on other cars but on the legacy Im fairly sure its in the switch.
Only Gumby could get his hand cut off by auto up, they are weak and yeah ive tried it.

Worse case you could always open the door, too. It looks like the auto feature is switch specific to me - just had the panel off yesterday to fix the auto lock.

hum......well I cant say 100% to be honest but every other switch I have ever seen has been that way, including the one for my GL.

My supra had it built into the switch.

yeah it's in th design of the switch. The connectors really. I suppose you could take 3 other switches and cut out the driver side switch in all of them with the connectors on the underside, and epoxy them in or something, but would it be worth it? PLus isn't the driver's auto switch bigger than the other three?

Hasn't this already been discused anyway? I swear I remember having a link in a post to a Clifford windows module that makes all your windows have the auto feature keeping your exsisting switches intact.
