theyre askin $6,050 for a 97 legacy 2.5 gt. 99,000 miles, 5-speed, moonroof, its a personal sale not a dealer. any opinions would be great as im goin to look at it tomorrow probly for my cousin.

That's a nice price, especially for a GT 5MT.

Keep in mind that the Phase I 2.5 is known for head gasked and engine-related problems, but most of those have been cured by updated replacement parts.

thats good to know, most of my knowledge is with the 2.2 turbo and the 3.3 h6, i still have much to learn about the 2.5... but if its in good shape when we look at it this might be a good find.

well the 97 was gone, but we went by a dealer and my cousin picked up a 2000 legacy L 2.5 5MT with 87,000 miles. white and in beautiful condition inside and out. the only thing that wouldve been nice is a moonroof and maybe some rims instead of the steelies but for 9500 bucks were not gonna complain too much. after a test drive (dealer let us take it out alone ) he was totally in love with it. hes used to driving his 944 in the summer so he was looking for a car with handling and pull and he just loved how tight it was and how crisp... (also got to peek around the sti on the showroom floor for quite a while and i had to watch out that i didnt drool all over it .)

yea theres one in plaistow at the haverhill line too. now once i get my tranny fixed in my 92 turbo i can go cruisin around with him and blow his doors off
