Looks almost exactly like mine, except mine has the splitter and the w/g pipe is about only half that length.

Be aware that Stromung DP is a shorty. The stock DP on a WRX has two pieces, one for each cat, and then goes to the midpipe. It is not like the Turbo Legacy where you have one cat in the DP, which is a single piece, and then another cat in the midpipe. My point is that the Stromung DP comes up way short of the second DP mount on the Legacy chassis. It will mate to the turbo and the mount on the tranny.
Then Stromung gives you the option of either a track pipe ($215) or a high flow cat($320) for it to mate up to the stock location of the WRX midpipe. So, it is not as cheap as it looks to start with. You will likely want to get their cat piece, and then have a custom midpipe put together from there back...Image

Or, maybe get one of theses for the same price and have everything else done custom...

Now, I'm planning a custom exhaust from the DP back, so would it be possible to get one of these "shorty" pipes, and go custom from there back? I don't see why not.

Where is a WRX O2 sensor bung?

There's two. IIRC one is in the passengerside exhaust manifold and the other is just before the mid-pipe cat.

Yeah, I was meaning the one in the DP. That's where I thought it was, just wanted to make sure. OK, so now I'm leaning towards this Stromung DP, the front part at least, and having an O2 bung added in our stock location. Then I can have the midpipe lengthened, leaving the cat in the middle, and just delete the joint where the DP and mid-pipe normally join.

BTW, if you look at that first picture closely, there is actually a diverter plate there, it's just hard to see. Does anyone actually have this pipe, to confirm or deny that?

Well, I bit the bullet and picked up this pipe, mmmmm, I'm gonna be so happy soon! Here are a few pics:

The only issue is that when the extended mid-pipe is made to attach to this, he'll have to also fab up hangers for it, since this pipe has none.

Oh, and a couple other things I got this weekend, and can't wait to put to good use:

I wonder if the daddy's 3rd cat eliminator pipe would work with the stromung...it has a heat sheild on it the makes it look like there is a cat, but its actually no cat and straight through...I do like those APS downpipe flange split bell mouth thingies though...they got nice setups. I also like the rest of daddy's setup, their catted DP, and autospeed has a nice catted turbo back out, with nice fat twin tips on the can...
