have just fitted an 18-22 swaybar to the rear of the wagon. unfortunately the young guy who served me didn't know which holes were 18 and which was 22.
for the moment i have it in the centre hole. i am thinking the inside hole is 22 and the outside 18???? can anyone with one of these help.
cheers

Figuring the sawy bar is a torsion bar I would assume that the further the holes are apart from each other (if you were to straighten the bar out), the less tension it provides. That being said, the inner ones I would expect to be the 22mm and the outer ones 18mm.

If you use the two center holes its 20.
Both end holes are 18.
Both inner holes are 22.
One inner and one middle is 21.
One outer and one midle is 19.

thats about what i figured.the laws of physics and such.
next q, does it matter if the bar is attached to the inner or outer side of the links

Hrm...I've got a spare 18-22 bar hanging around. Methinks I'll try it out if the car understeers too much after putting the new suspension on.

If yer asking me,
SPO Motorsports.

Dunno if it'll even fit, but I've got a garage full of GC8 spares that have been collecting dust.
