what is the weight of a 92 legacy LS w/auto transmission?
i think i read on the sticker of my car near the driver's seat that its 1760kg, like 3300lbs (seems really heavy), is this right?

also, what would win in a flat out drag for 1/4 mile, a 04 scion xA (108hp/105ft/lb, weighs like 2400lb) or my 92 legacy ls (132/162 i believe i was told, its non turbo)? (i say legacy)

thanks

I know it's less than 3300. . . . I think it's just under 3200.

the lightest LS in 90 was the fwd sedan which weighed 2900 lbs, heaviest was the awd wagon which weighed 3190 Dunno how much fatter or skinnier your car got in the two years, but you can get a roundabout

I've got a FWD L with auto. With me 145lbs, full tank of gas, speaker box in trunk, weight is right around 3100 lbs.

legacy weight? too much if you ask me :D

it's surprising how much certain things weigh in our cars, if anyone has pulled the rear seat out of a legacy turbo or similar model you know what i'm talking about (2 folding seats + armrest + metal frame = very heavy)

however in rally trim it comes in at the same weight as the gc8's and wrx's, actually the wrx's are a tad bit heavier

in the canadian rally championship one of the ex-factory subaru cars is actually a bc legacy frame that's been reskinned as a wrx, i assume it's for the weight issue but i still find that wierd

hm, on the door panel on the frame of the car near the bottom of the driver's seat is says the legacy's GWVR = 3930lbs

is that right!? seems really heavy somehow...

i think that "GVWR = 3930" includes it's maximum passenger and cargo load?

Thats gross vehicle weight, meaning the maximum recommended weight of the vehicle inlcuding passengers, fuel and payload.

Why do people think that a Legacy weights alot?? 3100 lbs is nothing, sure its no civic, but comparitivly speaking these cars are quite light. My friend's 98 preulude and Eclipse gsx weight shitloads more. And they wonder why I can out take em on the backroads

Edmunds.com says the fwd 92 ls sedan is 2885 lbs, and awd 92 ls sedan is 3075 lbs, just 35 more than my 91 awd wagon. :)

I know the lightest are FWD 5MT sedans with manual everything, those are pretty damn light, and under 3000 The turbo sedans come in around 3100 lbs, a little more for the auto's and the heaviest are the turbo wagons, their like 3200-something IIRC.

Most 2 door "sport" coupes weigh like 3500 lbs these days.
