Flub at local dealership

My cousin, who is the service manager at the local Subaru dealership, called last night w/ a lead on a 94 Legacy AWD sedan. Supposed to have 111k miles, and some body damage but fixable for the low price of $700. My cousin hadn't seen the car but told us he probably get it for about $400.
Went by the dealership this afternoon and found out that its a FWD and the body damage is kinda severe. The left rear door is stuck shut from--looks like its been sideswiped. The left rear quarter panel is severely dented, the rear bumper is hanging down is bent up and the trunk won't shut.
Called my cousin back to let him know that we weren't really interested in a 2wd car but we'd give them $200 for it. He said that the only reason the owner of the dealership traded it was b/c he thought it was AWD and would be able to make a quick sale w/ the bad weather we've been having. Guess he won't be real happy to find that he wasted his money!
