2001 RS Bumper on a 90 Legacy

I was in on the group buy and i loved the idea of the rs front bumper on my car with the vented hood and now knowing the bumper will not happen, the question is does anyone know 1. Where a good place to get a 2001 rs front bumper. 2. Would a decent body shop be able to put it on my 90 legacy. 3. a rough estimate of the cost of a body shop to do the fitment.

Its too hard to say, some body shops shy away from that kind of work others should shy away, but don't. I've heard they can be made to fit, but don't know exactly what that entails so it would be hard to estimate the number of hours they'd charge. You could maybe do it yourself if you cut whatever you need to cut and buy a plastic welder to add whatever you need to add.

hey guys i have an RS bumper on my 92 legacy, we did it really unprofessionally for now cause I didn't even think it would fit....we cut off half of my stock bumper(up to the little black strip) and half of the RS bumper and bolted it on....it fits awesome....in the future I plan to get rid of the bolts and replace them with pop rivets and get a shop to blend the two pieces

Instead of bolting the pieces together, why not plastic weld them?
I plan on making a custom bumper this way.

For those of you who cut the bumpers and spliced them together:
Was this so you didn't have to change out the bumper beam?
I was thinking of switching to the RS bumper myself. Has anyone tried to bolt on an RS bumper beam so the cover would fit over it correctly?
Since the early Legacies are on the same chassis as the Imprezas, I thought that maybe it would be just like converting front ends on an early Impreza......
I would love to try this before I get my car repainted, but I don't have the cash to waste if it turns out it doesn't work.
