I'm back, as a CAR carrying member of this boarsd I acquired a '90 BF 5spd two days ago. And there is a great story to go with it.

I just started a new job on Wed. My new boss knew I was into Subarus and his BF blew the radiator over the weekend. My first task is to dispose of the BF and find him a new used Legacy. Super Rupair had offered him $200, so he agreed to let it go to me for the same. I spent the rest of the day finding him a 2000 Outback wagon. At the end of the day, he bought the new wagon, and I asked if I could jsut bring him cash. he said, why don't we save the payroll taxes on your first 20 hours of work and you just take the car in barter.

So, the next day, my gurl and I towed the thing home behind her '04 WRX.
The car has 170k on it. The radiator is blown and there is a little left front damage, but nothing to major. The plan is an engine swap,so now I just need to find a donor vehicle. I see there are a couple in the FS section, so maybe I can get one of those. If not, I may just get an early WRX front clip from Venus in CA...

Why don't you take 2.2 liters of turbocharged fury away from your RS and give them to the new wagon as a gift?

That engine isn't for the RS. It was only in the trunk until we finished moving and I could dump it in my new garage, which I did last night. Now I need to clean and strip it. It is for my long term Legacy project as discussed before with all the STi parts I have acquired. But getting that engine built is going to take me at least six months, if not more. So, in the meantime, I would like to play with this car, and get my feet wet on rewiring the car for a swap and such. Consider it a plaything that I will likely keep for six months to a year until I do my real build. Some lucky likely take it off my hands for a song since I am expecting full build including car to cost me $2500-3000. I know someone will want a 5spd turbo wagon.
As for the color, I will have to check the official color for you guys. I am kind of a pinkish (sandstone?) metallic. I called it taupe because that is what the previous owner had called it, but that is far from accurate. I'll let you all know manana since I can only log on at work once a day or so until I get home internet back up...

The doctor says it isn't spreading, but I should keep an eye on it
Anyways, you tell me what I've got:
vin: 4S4 BJ63C4 L690XXXX
Apllied model code: BJ7AY3J
Color Code 059
It has the Bosch ABS and the Hitachi MAF sensor.
I would look this stuff up, but I am still not on my own computer where I have everything downloaded and bookmarked for quick reference.
