STi Exhaust

Post by LaureltheQueen »

Are there any stainless steel STi knockoff exhaust tips floating around? I like the little "STi" logo on it, but only want the tip and muffler, as I'm having a muffler shop do custom piping for the rest of my system.

PS- I'm broke. :)

Get a machine shop to etch "STi" into a regular tip of your choice. As for the muffler, a Flowmaster or Magnaflow will be cheaper if cost is a problem.

I'm going with the 3in piping cut at an angle so it looks stock. Can't have the ricers thinking it's just a tip.

Depending on how broke you are & how much you want the real thing, try looking for a used, takeoff 'backbox' like i got for my RS. I had no way to verify, but it supposedly came off a P1. It doesn't matter where it came from since it has the stamped 'STi' tip you speak of and it has the BEST mellow boxer burble (w/resonator) to it! :D
