I see that the Greddy is the cheapest in price aprox $800.00 I dont want to go nuts here so what do you think? Have any of you heard good or bad about any FMIC's?
Also, is Nate still kicking around here from Nate Squared?

You need to find a way to run intake piping to both sides of the front of the vehicle
Large increase in the volume of air between the turbo and engine

Obvious that you are running a turbo
I disagree. The front mount is an optimum method of cooling IMO, and can be doune effectively if the right minds and tools are behind it. Running intake piping is a snap, but made significantly easier if you move your battery to the trunk and have no ABS. However, removing your ABS is not mandatory.
The larger increate in the volume of air between the turbo an intake manifold can be compensated for by a larger, more efficient turbo. HOWEVER, these will also need to be compensated for by proper fueling.
Cooling effect is still present when not moving forward. Remember to think of an intercooler as a heat-sink, not a radiator.

Jason -
Do you think the stock turbo could handle an FMIC for a while?

No. Not one bit.

Guys, you are seriously off topic here. I did not want to know if my choice was a good one or not. I have made up my mind already. I apreciate the info but I am running an IHI vf34 so I think I can handle the piping. I also work for a large machine company with full manufacturing machine shop. My question was what brands have you heard of and what brand would be a good quality, thats all.

well I guess I will offer some info.
I have a blitz. I ran it with the stock turbo no problem. I now have a vf23. also fine.
I would be happy to share pics and info on install for you. I might even be able to get you a better price on the fmic. I still (for now) have abs.
I have a small battery in the stock location.

Well so be it! The proof is in the pudding. Blitz, Greddy, MRT, well, basically any FMIC for the WRX can be made to bolt to the legacy. however, a Spearco or Griffin with custom intakes may fit that much more better.

I could put a front mount on an NA Legacy and it would run, doesnt mean its right.

yes pics would be nice. I wish I could see some FMIC's in person before making the investment. I'd like to see the difference between them other than basing my choice on price alone.

well, I can vouch for experience, unlike some people

after switching from a top mounted water/air cooler (more efficient than a top mounted air/air) the FMIC was one of the best investments I have made, no cooling effect? BS! what does a thermo fan do, how does your radiator work in traffic? and its only obvious your running a turbo if you use a silver or aluminium core and end tanks, theres plenty of ways around it, for example paint the thing black! yes its not as efficient but thats when you use a larger core. FWIW i have noticed no more lag, in fact I have full boost on my TD05 by 3500RPM (20psi) and it runs 5 psi at 2700RPM, and I have a 2ltr motor.

rsstiboy: Im telling you not to insinuate something you dont know about.
The topic is if you think the greddy kit is good and if you have heard good or bad about others, your supposed to help him decide which to get. Thats why I removed my posts. I misunderstood and thought he meant bad things about AAIC in general instead of bad things about specific units.
I see no mention of brand size or size in your post.

i'm not a beleiver in brands as such, I always get something made custom to suit my application, if you go through past topics I have mentioned the size of my intercooler on numerous occasions.

You've got your answer. There is no real preference in brand. It's a matter of what you like and what "fits" your application. I'm not going to delete the thread, but I certainly will lock it since you're being such a baby.
