My car has way to much roll, and I want it to handle better, and the stock setup is probably 11 years old, feels mushy.

Roll will be helped with new struts but sway bars would be your better bet. Why not get some GR-2 with the stock springs and a bigger sway bar?

This is exactly what I'm going to do. Keeping stock springs, GR2's and a Turbo rear swaybar. That and a good set of tires and you'll be amazed at what your car can do.

Turbo rear or wagon with air suspension!

Cool, so where can I get a better sway bar?, I like the sound of GR-2 and stock springs since I don't have all that much money.

Did you read the thread I posted just above yours?

My wagon's got an antiroll bar in the back, too. Is the air suspension one bigger?

sigh.

The wagon with air suspension and the turbo bars are bigger. Everything else is the same. Did the below L model have a rear sway bar?

What about a '69 Eldorado bar? Would that work?

I already have the turbo sway bars, I have a sports sedan, just wondering if there is anything better than that.

to get back on topic, I've got the agx/H&R setup and have been completely impressed. I thought at first that they'd be too harsh but they're not and i like the ride. The lowering springs got rid of my monster-truck like stance but still enough ground clearence to go TSD rallying.

I gots a question 'bout the agx's. I've heard some people say that the front spring perch is the wrong height because its impreza specific...and that it causes our legacies to sit wrong, with the front end high. Some people say its so and some people say its no...
I don't know...
Till then, I rock gr2s.
thanks

Punk555- if you are still rolling on your stock 15" SS wheels, I highly recommend going to 16" wheels. It's a cheap upgrade and will dramatically make your car better, provided that you get good tires. Your most cost effective route would be the ubiquitous WRX take offs. Put some high performance 205/50/16 tires on there and you've gone a long way towards making the car handle better, brake better, accellerate and turn quicker. Not to mention it will FEEL much better doing all those things. Personally, I consider it a higher priority than suspension, unless you have something that is acutally broken in your current suspension.

I have done this on both my Impreza and Legacy SS.

I'm in a similar position as you, please check out the suspension review thread-

Nice short review on your upgraded suspension, Jason. Since you have MY90, I assume you changed the tops in the rear to accomodate the non-tapered springs. What tops did you use? Stock, STi, or other?

Cool, MRT makes sway bars for 90-99 Legacy's, 2 questions.

1. 20mm or 22mm?
2. should I just get the front sway bar or both front and rear?

found em at http://www.isrperformance.com

What do you want from the car? Bigger front bar increases understeer and a bigger rear bar increases oversteer. Bigger bars decrease ride quality a little.

MRT doesnt make them as far as I know.

I just want the car to handle better so it feels like its on rails.
