Older Subaru turbo parts on a '90 Legacy?

I am near a salvage yards with roughly a dozen mid-late '80's turbo wagons and sedans, mostly Loyales.

My question is, could I possibly work something out with a few parts from these cars? Or is this just a pipe dream? I just want to play around with my '90, even if it only gains a few HP from a very slight boost. I could get the parts for the cost of a CD, this place is real cheap.

I will get pipes made if needed, but I just want to know if this could be even slightly worthwhile.

Thanks!

yes, I say go for it. Biggest problem will be head to turbo piping.

That turbo uses the same up pipe flange as our cars doesnt it? I know its got the 90 degree intake. So grab the turbo, and downpipe, and source yourself a OEM WRX header and up pipe. Tap oil off the top of the block, where the pressure sender is, weld a return in the oil pan.

Do they use the same style fuel pumps? Or would the NA one be better anyway?

Not the same flange.
