The car you posted is an E500, the first one I posted is a CL 65 AMG, the last 2 are the same car (SL 55).

They are real.

Benz used the chrome plated body panels (not paint) for the show cars (exhibitions and such). Basically a gimmick. Looks pretty sick, and draws attention to the model. That was the only intention IIRC.

91 - We call that guy "Ghetto Fab." He lives in Clemson, SC. Full on spinners. Sits higher than a stock 3G does, and that's as low as he can go without bagging the car and gutting the fenders.

See I think the chromed benz doesn't look horrible in the pics where there's a lot of blue background and cooler colors. The field pic with the trees it looks severely out of place.

is it just me or do those last 3 pictures look Extremely fake. The first one i am still unsure of. I dont doubt that benz made a chrome car, but the pics don't look real.

I don't know about the placement (if the cars were really in a field and what not), but the cars were DEFINATELY chrome plated.

They wouldn't be street legal, so they would have to be trucked into those locations.

They likely used PS just to clear up details and such.

Theres a Jag at the dealership I often do work for, thats the same.

I stared at it for a while wondering if it was paint, or polished. (has to be paint)

Pretty cool IMO, nothing id sport myself, but its a bit more tame in person.
