Not only that but radiator hose normally can see high pressure and temperature.

I hope the portion that connects to your turbo doesn't melt. I don't think they're rated for too high of a temperature. good luck, lets see the results.

Its ALIVE! the hose was slightly too small in diameter but I ended up getting it to fit with a lot of cursing and hurting myself. so far I did a few 11Psi hard pulls last night and drove down to denver today, the hose hasn't buged cause I clamped the hell out of everything. I hope the hose will hold up to the heat and pressure. Ill Get pics up when I get home.

Your hose should work fine. Ive been using radiator hose for months now without problems, and it sees 11-12 psi.

All you guys that are using the radiator hose...

Are you only using it for the WRX intercooler?

Anyone found one that will work for putting a Saab 900 i/c on easily?

i like that setup it looks good legacypunk555 nice clean with a nice touch. one think if you use rad hose, keep checking them cuz if oil gets on or in them it will make the melt stiffn crack the hoses oil can make a mess out of those rad hoses. i changed so many of them on my car, hot oil can cook anything.

Silver Sedan with a TurboXS sticker on the small rear window, the oil was another thing that concerned me, maybe Ill hunt down a silicone hose piece some day, but for now it's a HELL of a lot better than the loopy-de-loop system I had earlier.

what did you have to do to make the intercooler fit?

Moved the igniter, pounded on the firewall a littlle, ditched the AC (although it might work with AC), Re-directed coolant elbow thing connecting to turbo, bent each side of metal part above engine mount so the y-pipe could fit better, mixed with a lot of sweat, blood and cursing.

Yes but you need some kind of adapter plate for the WRX IC to use the Stock BOV, when I used a WRX BOV the car ran fine but a little rich and it was open atmosphere, but theres no way to plumb it back to the intake.

what type of pipe did you use to connect the perrin ic hose to the rad hose? what size of pipe was it?

I used an exhaust connector piece thing that I picked up at Auto Zone

Another question

What Size ID was/is the Radiator Hose?

I bought a 1 1/2" hose today but it wouldn't fit...... well it would probably fit over the turbo but not over my inlet hose...

I'll probably go buy 1 3/4" with the same bends, napa has a book, I looked at them and chose the one I thought would work, indeed it would if the ID size was bigger. :)

Its the exact same hose as the upper radiator hose, it took a LOT of effort to get it onto the turbo outlet as it was kinda small, but i made it work, still not sure if my setup is 100 percent reliable though, so far so good, except my damn check engine light.

You can make one yourself pretty easily. I described the one I made in this thread:
