Future 1992 Subaru Legacy Turbo 4EAT Owner

Soon to be owner of this nice looking Subaru Legacy Turbo with 4EAT.
I won it for $2335 on Ebay. (BTW, the $850 down means, the owner was trying to sell for $850 down and $125/month)
My goals for the car is quite simple, a good Northeast daily commuter and beater to go to places where I normally would not dare to leave my new car.
Problem for me will be that I am working on going down to see the car and make the final payment, it is located in North Carolina actually.
What should I be looking for or hear besides the usual car inspection I would make. The car so far from picture looks very well kept, he said the car belongs to one owner in Virginia.
